The College of Coastal Georgia hosted a Career Fair for students looking for a job or an internship. The 2014 Career Fair had 48 registered employers (a 40 percent increase from last year) and over 230 students/alumni attend the fair. From the student survey data, 97% were impressed with the quality of companies represented and the variety of jobs available. The Brunswick and Glynn County Development Authority (Development Authority) typically has 1-2 interns per year. The interns provide meaningful contributions and get an opportunity to learn about all the different organizations the Development Authority works with.

Are you interested in hosting an Intern at your organization?

The recruitment of College of Coastal Georgia students can continue on even after the job fair through the online jobs database, Coastal Careerlink. CCGA students and alumni regularly access the database to search and apply for jobs and employers have access to the Resume Books feature. In fact, the system had 1300+ users this past month alone! If you have openings you would like to advertise, we can market your openings for free in the system. Coastal CareerLink sends out job opening lists to over 5,000 email addresses every two weeks.

Another recruitment option from Career Services is the Employer Spotlight program, which is an individual recruiting table in the Campus Center during peak hours. This is a great way to come in contact with a significant number of students in a short amount of time.

The job fair, Coastal CareerLink and Employer Spotlight program are all free services for employers.
